Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 117

  1. إِنْ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِهِ إِلَّا إِنَاثًا وَإِنْ يَدْعُونَ إِلَّا شَيْطَانًا مَرِيدًا

    Translation by words

    إِن
    Not
    يَدْعُونَ
    they invoke
    مِن
    from
    دُونِهِۦٓ
    besides Him
    إِلَّآ
    but
    إِنَٰثًا
    female (deities)
    وَإِن
    and not
    يَدْعُونَ
    they invoke
    إِلَّا
    except
    شَيْطَٰنًا
    Shaitaan -
    مَّرِيدًا
    rebellious.

    They call upon instead of Him none but female (deities), and they (actually) call upon none but a rebellious Satan.
