Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 48

  1. إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَنْ يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَنْ يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدِ افْتَرَىٰ إِثْمًا عَظِيمًا

    Translation by words

    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    لَا
    (does) not
    يَغْفِرُ
    forgive
    أَن
    that
    يُشْرَكَ
    partners be associated
    بِهِۦ
    with Him,
    وَيَغْفِرُ
    but He forgives
    مَا
    from
    دُونَ
    other than
    ذَٰلِكَ
    that
    لِمَن
    for whom
    يَشَآءُ
    He wills.
    وَمَن
    And whoever
    يُشْرِكْ
    associates partners
    بِٱللَّهِ
    with Allah,
    فَقَدِ
    then surely
    ٱفْتَرَىٰٓ
    he has fabricated
    إِثْمًا
    a sin -
    عَظِيمًا
    tremendous.

    Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills. And he who associates others with Allah has certainly fabricated a tremendous sin.
