Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 8

  1. وَإِذَا حَضَرَ الْقِسْمَةَ أُولُو الْقُرْبَىٰ وَالْيَتَامَىٰ وَالْمَسَاكِينُ فَارْزُقُوهُمْ مِنْهُ وَقُولُوا لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَعْرُوفًا

    Translation by words

    وَإِذَا
    And when
    حَضَرَ
    present
    ٱلْقِسْمَةَ
    (at) the (time of) division
    أُو۟لُوا۟
    (of)
    ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ
    the relatives
    وَٱلْيَتَٰمَىٰ
    and the orphans
    وَٱلْمَسَٰكِينُ
    and the poor,
    فَٱرْزُقُوهُم
    then provide them
    مِّنْهُ
    from it
    وَقُولُوا۟
    and speak
    لَهُمْ
    to them
    قَوْلًا
    words
    مَّعْرُوفًا
    (of) kindness.

    And when (other) relatives and orphans and the needy are present at the (time of) division, then provide for them (something) out of the estate and speak to them words of appropriate kindness.
