Sura 59 Al-Hashr (The Exile), ayah 15

كَمَثَلِ الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ قَرِيبًا ۖ ذَاقُوا وَبَالَ أَمْرِهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
Translation by words

- Like (the) example
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- (of) those
- مِن
- from
- قَبْلِهِمْ
- before them
- قَرِيبًا
- shortly,
- ذَاقُوا۟
- they tasted
- وَبَالَ
- (the) evil result
- أَمْرِهِمْ
- (of) their affair,
- وَلَهُمْ
- and for them
- عَذَابٌ
- (is) a punishment
- أَلِيمٌ
- painful.
(Theirs is) like the example of those shortly before them: they tasted the bad consequence of their affair, and they will have a painful punishment.
