Sura 5 Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread), ayah 25

  1. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ إِلَّا نَفْسِي وَأَخِي ۖ فَافْرُقْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ الْقَوْمِ الْفَاسِقِينَ

    Translation by words

    قَالَ
    He said
    رَبِّ
    "O my Lord!
    إِنِّى
    Indeed, I
    لَآ
    (do) not
    أَمْلِكُ
    (have) power
    إِلَّا
    except
    نَفْسِى
    (over) myself
    وَأَخِى
    and my brother,
    فَٱفْرُقْ
    so (make a) separation
    بَيْنَنَا
    between us
    وَبَيْنَ
    and between
    ٱلْقَوْمِ
    the people,
    ٱلْفَٰسِقِينَ
    (the) defiantly disobedient."

    (Moses) said, "My Lord, indeed I do not possess except myself and my brother, so part us from the defiantly disobedient people."
