Sura 5 Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread), ayah 24

1. قَالُوا يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنَّا لَنْ نَدْخُلَهَا أَبَدًا مَا دَامُوا فِيهَا ۖ فَاذْهَبْ أَنْتَ وَرَبُّكَ فَقَاتِلَا إِنَّا هَاهُنَا قَاعِدُونَ

   Translation by words

   قَالُوا۟

   They said,

   يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

   O Musa!

   إِنَّا

   Indeed, we

   لَن

   never

   نَّدْخُلَهَآ

   will enter it,

   أَبَدًا

   ever,

   مَّا

   for

   دَامُوا۟

   as long as they are

   فِيهَا

   in it.

   فَٱذْهَبْ

   So go

   أَنتَ

   you

   وَرَبُّكَ

   and your Lord

   فَقَٰتِلَآ

   and you both fight.

   إِنَّا

   Indeed, we

   هَٰهُنَا

   are [here]

   قَٰعِدُونَ

   sitting."

   They said, "O Moses, indeed we will not enter it, ever, as long as they are within it; so go, you and your Lord, and fight. Indeed, we are remaining right here."

Translation: Saheeh International
