Sura 5 Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread), ayah 50

أَفَحُكْمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَبْغُونَ ۚ وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ مِنَ اللَّهِ حُكْمًا لِقَوْمٍ يُوقِنُونَ
Translation by words
- أَفَحُكْمَ
- Is it then the judgment
- ٱلْجَٰهِلِيَّةِ
- (of the time of) ignorance
- يَبْغُونَ
- they seek?
- وَمَنْ
- And who (is)
- أَحْسَنُ
- better
- مِنَ
- than
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah
- حُكْمًا
- (in) judgment
- لِّقَوْمٍ
- for a people
- يُوقِنُونَ
- (who) firmly believe.
Then is it the judgement of (the time of) ignorance they desire? But who is better than Allah in judgement for a people who are certain (in faith).
