Sura 66 At-Tahrim (The Prohibition), ayah 4

  1. إِنْ تَتُوبَا إِلَى اللَّهِ فَقَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوبُكُمَا ۖ وَإِنْ تَظَاهَرَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ مَوْلَاهُ وَجِبْرِيلُ وَصَالِحُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ ظَهِيرٌ

    Translation by words

    إِن
    If
    تَتُوبَآ
    you both turn
    إِلَى
    to
    ٱللَّهِ
    Allah,
    فَقَدْ
    so indeed,
    صَغَتْ
    (are) inclined
    قُلُوبُكُمَا
    your hearts;
    وَإِن
    but if
    تَظَٰهَرَا
    you backup each other
    عَلَيْهِ
    against him,
    فَإِنَّ
    then indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah,
    هُوَ
    He
    مَوْلَىٰهُ
    (is) his Protector,
    وَجِبْرِيلُ
    and Jibreel,
    وَصَٰلِحُ
    and (the) righteous
    ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
    believers,
    وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ
    and the Angels,
    بَعْدَ
    after
    ذَٰلِكَ
    that
    ظَهِيرٌ
    (are his) assistants.

If you two (wives) repent to Allah, (it is best), for your hearts have deviated. But if you cooperate against him - then indeed Allah is his protector, and Gabriel and the righteous of the believers and the angels, moreover, are (his) assistants.
