Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 32

  1. وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَعِبٌ وَلَهْوٌ ۖ وَلَلدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَمَا
    And not
    ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
    (is) the life
    ٱلدُّنْيَآ
    (of) the world
    إِلَّا
    except
    لَعِبٌ
    a play
    وَلَهْوٌ
    and amusement;
    وَلَلدَّارُ
    but the home
    ٱلْءَاخِرَةُ
    (of) the Hereafter
    خَيْرٌ
    (is) best
    لِّلَّذِينَ
    for those who
    يَتَّقُونَ
    (are) God conscious.
    أَفَلَا
    Then not
    تَعْقِلُونَ
    (will) you reason?

    And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allah, so will you not reason?
