Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 47

  1. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ إِنْ أَتَاكُمْ عَذَابُ اللَّهِ بَغْتَةً أَوْ جَهْرَةً هَلْ يُهْلَكُ إِلَّا الْقَوْمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

    Translation by words

    قُلْ
    Say,
    أَرَءَيْتَكُمْ
    "Have you seen
    إِنْ
    if
    أَتَىٰكُمْ
    comes to you
    عَذَابُ
    punishment
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    بَغْتَةً
    suddenly
    أَوْ
    or
    جَهْرَةً
    openly,
    هَلْ
    will
    يُهْلَكُ
    (any) be destroyed
    إِلَّا
    except
    ٱلْقَوْمُ
    the people -
    ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
    the wrongdoers?

    Say, "Have you considered: if the punishment of Allah should come to you unexpectedly or manifestly, will any be destroyed but the wrongdoing people?"
