Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 53
-
وَكَذَٰلِكَ فَتَنَّا بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لِيَقُولُوا أَهَٰؤُلَاءِ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا ۗ أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَعْلَمَ بِالشَّاكِرِينَ
Translation by words
- وَكَذَٰلِكَ
- And thus
- فَتَنَّا
- We try
- بَعْضَهُم
- some of them
- بِبَعْضٍ
- with others
- لِّيَقُولُوٓا۟
- that they say,
- أَهَٰٓؤُلَآءِ
- "Are these
- مَنَّ
- (whom has been) favored
- ٱللَّهُ
- (by) Allah
- عَلَيْهِم
- [upon them]
- مِّنۢ
- from
- بَيْنِنَآ
- among us?"
- أَلَيْسَ
- is not
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- بِأَعْلَمَ
- most knowing
- بِٱلشَّٰكِرِينَ
- of those who are grateful?
And thus We have tried some of them through others that the disbelievers might say, "Is it these whom Allah has favored among us?" Is not Allah most knowing of those who are grateful?
