Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 156

  1. وَاكْتُبْ لَنَا فِي هَٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ إِنَّا هُدْنَا إِلَيْكَ ۚ قَالَ عَذَابِي أُصِيبُ بِهِ مَنْ أَشَاءُ ۖ وَرَحْمَتِي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ ۚ فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذِينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِآيَاتِنَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَٱكْتُبْ
    And ordain
    لَنَا
    for us
    فِى
    in
    هَٰذِهِ
    this
    ٱلدُّنْيَا
    [the] world,
    حَسَنَةً
    good
    وَفِى
    and in
    ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
    the Hereafter.
    إِنَّا
    Indeed, we
    هُدْنَآ
    we have turned
    إِلَيْكَ
    to You."
    قَالَ
    He said,
    عَذَابِىٓ
    "My punishment -
    أُصِيبُ
    I afflict
    بِهِۦ
    with it
    مَنْ
    whom
    أَشَآءُ
    I will,
    وَرَحْمَتِى
    but My Mercy
    وَسِعَتْ
    encompasses
    كُلَّ
    every
    شَىْءٍ
    thing.
    فَسَأَكْتُبُهَا
    So I will ordain it
    لِلَّذِينَ
    for those who
    يَتَّقُونَ
    (are) righteous
    وَيُؤْتُونَ
    and give
    ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ
    zakah
    وَٱلَّذِينَ
    and those who
    هُم
    [they]
    بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
    in Our Verses,
    يُؤْمِنُونَ
    they believe.

    And decree for us in this world (that which is) good and (also) in the Hereafter; indeed, we have turned back to You." (Allah) said, "My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things." So I will decree it (especially) for those who fear Me and give zakah and those who believe in Our verses -
