Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 204

1. وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ

   Translation by words

   وَإِذَا

   And when

   قُرِئَ

   is recited

   ٱلْقُرْءَانُ

   the Quran,

   فَٱسْتَمِعُوا۟

   then listen

   لَهُۥ

   to it

   وَأَنصِتُوا۟

   and pay attention

   لَعَلَّكُمْ

   so that you may

   تُرْحَمُونَ

   receive mercy.

   So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy.

   7:204
