Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 70

  1. قَالُوا أَجِئْتَنَا لِنَعْبُدَ اللَّهَ وَحْدَهُ وَنَذَرَ مَا كَانَ يَعْبُدُ آبَاؤُنَا ۖ فَأْتِنَا بِمَا تَعِدُنَا إِنْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

    Translation by words

    قَالُوٓا۟
    They said,
    أَجِئْتَنَا
    "Have you come to us
    لِنَعْبُدَ
    that we (should) worship
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    وَحْدَهُۥ
    Alone
    وَنَذَرَ
    and we forsake
    مَا
    what
    كَانَ
    used to
    يَعْبُدُ
    worship
    ءَابَآؤُنَا
    our forefathers?
    فَأْتِنَا
    Then bring us
    بِمَا
    of what
    تَعِدُنَآ
    you promise us,
    إِن
    if
    كُنتَ
    you are
    مِنَ
    of
    ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ
    the truthful."

    They said, "Have you come to us that we should worship Allah alone and leave what our fathers have worshipped? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful."
