Sura 9 At-Tawbah (The Repentance), ayah 111

  1. إِنَّ اللَّهَ اشْتَرَىٰ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ بِأَنَّ لَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَ ۚ يُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ فَيَقْتُلُونَ وَيُقْتَلُونَ ۖ وَعْدًا عَلَيْهِ حَقًّا فِي التَّوْرَاةِ وَالْإِنْجِيلِ وَالْقُرْآنِ ۚ وَمَنْ أَوْفَىٰ بِعَهْدِهِ مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ فَاسْتَبْشِرُوا بِبَيْعِكُمُ الَّذِي بَايَعْتُمْ بِهِ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ

    Translation by words

    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    ٱشْتَرَىٰ
    (has) purchased
    مِنَ
    from
    ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
    the believers
    أَنفُسَهُمْ
    their lives
    وَأَمْوَٰلَهُم
    and their wealth,
    بِأَنَّ
    because
    لَهُمُ
    for them
    ٱلْجَنَّةَ
    (is) Paradise.
    يُقَٰتِلُونَ
    They fight
    فِى
    in
    سَبِيلِ
    (the) way
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah,
    فَيَقْتُلُونَ
    they slay
    وَيُقْتَلُونَ
    and they are slain.
    وَعْدًا
    A promise
    عَلَيْهِ
    upon Him
    حَقًّا
    true,
    فِى
    in
    ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ
    the Taurat
    وَٱلْإِنجِيلِ
    and the Injeel
    وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ
    and the Quran.
    وَمَنْ
    And who
    أَوْفَىٰ
    (is) more faithful
    بِعَهْدِهِۦ
    to his promise
    مِنَ
    than
    ٱللَّهِ
    Allah?
    فَٱسْتَبْشِرُوا۟
    So rejoice
    بِبَيْعِكُمُ
    in your transaction
    ٱلَّذِى
    which
    بَايَعْتُم
    you have contracted
    بِهِۦ
    [with it].
    وَذَٰلِكَ
    And that
    هُوَ
    it
    ٱلْفَوْزُ
    (is) the success
    ٱلْعَظِيمُ
    the great.

    Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties (in exchange) for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, so they kill and are killed. (It is) a true promise (binding) upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur'an. And who is truer to his covenant than Allah? So rejoice in your transaction which you have contracted. And it is that which is the great attainment.
