Sura 21 Al-Anbiya (The Prophets), ayah 8

1. وَمَا جَعَلْنَاهُمْ جَسَدًا لَا يَأْكُلُونَ الطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا خَالِدِينَ

   Translation by words

   وَمَا

   And not

   جَعَلْنَٰهُمْ

   We made them

   جَسَدًا

   bodies

   لَّا

   not

   يَأْكُلُونَ

   eating

   ٱلطَّعَامَ

   the food,

   وَمَا

   and not

   كَانُوا۟

   they were

   خَٰلِدِينَ

   immortals.

   And We did not make the prophets forms not eating food, nor were they immortal (on earth).

   21:8

Translation: Saheeh International
