Sura 33 Al-Ahzab (Those who took up arms), ayah 16

  1. قُلْ لَنْ يَنْفَعَكُمُ الْفِرَارُ إِنْ فَرَرْتُمْ مِنَ الْمَوْتِ أَوِ الْقَتْلِ وَإِذًا لَا تُمَتَّعُونَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

    Translation by words

    قُل
    Say,
    لَّن
    "Never
    يَنفَعَكُمُ
    will benefit you
    ٱلْفِرَارُ
    the fleeing,
    إِن
    if
    فَرَرْتُم
    you flee
    مِّنَ
    from
    ٱلْمَوْتِ
    death
    أَوِ
    or
    ٱلْقَتْلِ
    killing,
    وَإِذًا
    and then
    لَّا
    not
    تُمَتَّعُونَ
    you will be allowed to enjoy
    إِلَّا
    except
    قَلِيلًا
    a little."

    Say, (O Muhammad), "Never will fleeing benefit you if you should flee from death or killing; and then (if you did), you would not be given enjoyment (of life) except for a little."
