Sura 48 Al-Fath (The Victory), ayah 18
-
لَقَدْ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ يُبَايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ فَعَلِمَ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَنْزَلَ السَّكِينَةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَثَابَهُمْ فَتْحًا قَرِيبًا
Translation by words
- لَّقَدْ
- Certainly
- رَضِىَ
- Allah was pleased
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah was pleased
- عَنِ
- with
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers
- إِذْ
- when
- يُبَايِعُونَكَ
- they pledged allegiance to you
- تَحْتَ
- under
- ٱلشَّجَرَةِ
- the tree,
- فَعَلِمَ
- and He knew
- مَا
- what
- فِى
- (was) in
- قُلُوبِهِمْ
- their hearts,
- فَأَنزَلَ
- so He sent down
- ٱلسَّكِينَةَ
- the tranquility
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- upon them
- وَأَثَٰبَهُمْ
- and rewarded them
- فَتْحًا
- (with) a victory
- قَرِيبًا
- near,
Certainly was Allah pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you, (O Muhammad), under the tree, and He knew what was in their hearts, so He sent down tranquillity upon them and rewarded them with an imminent conquest
