Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 144

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۚ أَتُرِيدُونَ أَنْ تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ سُلْطَانًا مُبِينًا
Translation by words
- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا
- O you
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- who
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe[d]!
- لَا
- (Do) not
- تَتَّخِذُوا۟
- take
- ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ
- the disbelievers
- أَوْلِيَآءَ
- (as) allies
- مِن
- from
- دُونِ
- instead of
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers.
- أَتُرِيدُونَ
- Do you wish
- أَن
- that
- تَجْعَلُوا۟
- you make
- لِلَّهِ
- for Allah
- عَلَيْكُمْ
- against you
- سُلْطَٰنًا
- an evidence
- مُّبِينًا
- clear?
O you who have believed, do not take the disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do you wish to give Allah against yourselves a clear case?
