Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 160

  1. فَبِظُلْمٍ مِنَ الَّذِينَ هَادُوا حَرَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ طَيِّبَاتٍ أُحِلَّتْ لَهُمْ وَبِصَدِّهِمْ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ كَثِيرًا

    Translation by words

    فَبِظُلْمٍ
    Then for (the) wrongdoing
    مِّنَ
    of
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    هَادُوا۟
    were Jews,
    حَرَّمْنَا
    We made unlawful
    عَلَيْهِمْ
    for them
    طَيِّبَٰتٍ
    good things
    أُحِلَّتْ
    which had been lawful
    لَهُمْ
    for them
    وَبِصَدِّهِمْ
    and for their hindering
    عَن
    from
    سَبِيلِ
    (the) way
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah -
    كَثِيرًا
    many.

    For wrongdoing on the part of the Jews, We made unlawful for them (certain) good foods which had been lawful to them, and for their averting from the way of Allah many (people),
