Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 72
-
وَإِنَّ مِنْكُمْ لَمَنْ لَيُبَطِّئَنَّ فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْكُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالَ قَدْ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيَّ إِذْ لَمْ أَكُنْ مَعَهُمْ شَهِيدًا
Translation by words
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed,
- مِنكُمْ
- among you
- لَمَن
- (is he) who
- لَّيُبَطِّئَنَّ
- lags behind
- فَإِنْ
- then if
- أَصَٰبَتْكُم
- befalls you
- مُّصِيبَةٌ
- a disaster
- قَالَ
- he said,
- قَدْ
- "Verily
- أَنْعَمَ
- (has) favored
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah
- عَلَىَّ
- [on] me
- إِذْ
- [when]
- لَمْ
- (that) not
- أَكُن
- I was
- مَّعَهُمْ
- with them,
- شَهِيدًا
- present."
And indeed, there is among you he who lingers behind; and if disaster strikes you, he says, "Allah has favored me in that I was not present with them."
