Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 86

1. وَإِذَا حُيِّيتُمْ بِتَحِيَّةٍ فَحَيُّوا بِأَحْسَنَ مِنْهَا أَوْ رُدُّوهَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ حَسِيبًا

   Translation by words

   وَإِذَا

   And when

   حُيِّيتُم

   you are greeted

   بِتَحِيَّةٍ

   with a greeting,

   فَحَيُّوا۟

   then greet

   بِأَحْسَنَ

   with better

   مِنْهَآ

   than it

   أَوْ

   or

   رُدُّوهَآ

   return it.

   إِنَّ

   Indeed,

   ٱللَّهَ

   Allah

   كَانَ

   is

   عَلَىٰ

   of

   كُلِّ

   every

   شَىْءٍ

   thing

   حَسِيبًا

   an Accountant.

   And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet (in return) with one better than it or (at least) return it (in a like manner). Indeed, Allah is ever, over all things, an Accountant.
