Sura 5 Al-Ma'idah (The Table Spread), ayah 61
-
وَإِذَا جَاءُوكُمْ قَالُوا آمَنَّا وَقَدْ دَخَلُوا بِالْكُفْرِ وَهُمْ قَدْ خَرَجُوا بِهِ ۚ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْتُمُونَ
Translation by words
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- جَآءُوكُمْ
- they come to you
- قَالُوٓا۟
- they say,
- ءَامَنَّا
- "We believe."
- وَقَد
- But certainly
- دَّخَلُوا۟
- they entered
- بِٱلْكُفْرِ
- with disbelief
- وَهُمْ
- and they
- قَدْ
- certainly
- خَرَجُوا۟
- went out
- بِهِۦ
- with it.
- وَٱللَّهُ
- And Allah
- أَعْلَمُ
- knows best
- بِمَا
- [of] what
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- يَكْتُمُونَ
- hiding.
And when they come to you, they say, "We believe." But they have entered with disbelief (in their hearts), and they have certainly left with it. And Allah is most knowing of what they were concealing.
