Sura 7 Al-A'raf (The Heights), ayah 140

1. قَالَ أَغَيْرَ اللَّهِ أَبْغِيكُمْ إِلَٰهًا وَهُوَ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَمِينَ

   Translation by words

   قَالَ

   He said,

   أَغَيْرَ

   "Should other than

   ٱللَّهِ

   Allah

   أَبْغِيكُمْ

   I seek for you

   إِلَٰهًا

   a god,

   وَهُوَ

   while He

   فَضَّلَكُمْ

   has preferred you

   عَلَى

   over

   ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

   the worlds?"

   He said, "Is it other than Allah I should desire for you as a god while He has preferred you over the worlds?"

   7:140
