Sura 4 An-Nisa (The Women), ayah 75

  1. وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا أَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هَٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ أَهْلُهَا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِيًّا وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَصِيرًا

    Translation by words

    وَمَا
    And what
    لَكُمْ
    for you
    لَا
    (that) not
    تُقَٰتِلُونَ
    you fight
    فِى
    in
    سَبِيلِ
    (the) way
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah,
    وَٱلْمُسْتَضْعَفِينَ
    and (for) those who are weak
    مِنَ
    among
    ٱلرِّجَالِ
    the men
    وَٱلنِّسَآءِ
    and the women
    وَٱلْوِلْدَٰنِ
    and the children,
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    يَقُولُونَ
    say,
    رَبَّنَآ
    "Our Lord
    أَخْرِجْنَا
    take us out
    مِنْ
    of
    هَٰذِهِ
    this
    ٱلْقَرْيَةِ
    [the] town
    ٱلظَّالِمِ
    [the] oppressor(s)
    أَهْلُهَا
    (are) its people
    وَٱجْعَل
    and appoint
    لَّنَا
    for us
    مِن
    from
    لَّدُنكَ
    Yourself
    وَلِيًّا
    a protector
    وَٱجْعَل
    and appoint
    لَّنَا
    for us
    مِن
    from
    لَّدُنكَ
    Yourself
    نَصِيرًا
    a helper.

    And what is (the matter) with you that you fight not in the cause of Allah and (for) the oppressed among men, women, and children who say, "Our Lord, take us out of this city of oppressive people and appoint for us from Yourself a protector and appoint for us from Yourself a helper?"
